My Story
Hi, I’m Tom Gallott, a photographer, videographer, and editor based in London & Norwich.
I started young. When I was eight, my mum handed me a camera, and something just clicked. I didn’t really understand it at the time, but I started seeing the world differently. I’d notice light before I noticed people talking, frames before I noticed the whole scene. It just stuck with me.
That curiosity turned into a path I couldn’t really ignore. I spent the next several years learning my craft properly, studying filmmaking for six years, working with professional kit, and figuring out how to turn ideas into something visual and meaningful. I graduated with a degree in Filmmaking from Norwich University of the Arts, and along the way I also found a real love for editing, eventually becoming an award-winning documentary editor.
Now I work for myself, running a small, hands-on creative practice. It means I get to work closely with people instead of disappearing into a big agency system. I shoot and edit events, music, and commercial projects, focusing on work that feels clear, honest, and visually strong. I care about making things that actually connect, not just fill space online.
When I’m not working, I’m usually at the gym, out shooting on 35mm film, or travelling to watch Norwich City Football Club, usually with more optimism than the results deserve.
I’m based in Norwich, but I’ll travel for the right project.
